Another day, another stamp exchange. This time the mailman brough an exchange cover from Berlin, Germany. Klaus sent me a cover containing 200 different East German (DDR) stamps. To my pleasure a notable proportion of them were real used.
And here’s another cover / lot I received in todays mail in response to my stamp exchange offer. Jacques-Marie from France sent me 33 stamps, of which I found 14 useful to me.
Today’s mail brought the first results of my public stamp exchange offer. As the Finnish winter is having it’s peak (with temperatures around -20 up to -30 celsius degrees), I’ll be definitely having a blast during the weekend while enjoying the warmth of fireplace
As some know, I’m somewhat enthusiast stamp exchanger. Without a doubt I’m having at least one active trade going on constantly; most of the time I’m involved in at least 2-3 trades. Yes, it takes both time and resources, but in return my collection grows at the rate 2-3,000 new items per year due to this contribution; and in exchange I naturally give away the same amount of unnecessary duplicates…This time I’ve decided to show some of the stamps I receive from other traders.
One of the “popular topics” on my inbox (email, facebook etc.) involves trading/exchanging recent Finnish mint stamps to recent non-European (usually Indian, Malaysian or Vietnamese) issues. I can say that not a week goes by without at least couple such request landing on my inbox.
