January 2010 incoming mail – Australian covers
It’s time for week with incoming mail showcase. These covers (and cards) have landed my mailbox sometime in December or early January. And as usual, there are some very nice stamps that will add to my stamp collection. Let’s kick off with a bunch of Australian covers I’ve received with my participation on various stamp exchanges / swaps.
First, a very nice marlin cover with some older 1980’s stamps from Australia. The 75c definitive stamp features netball, 1AU$ bird definitive has Western Magpie and the 1AU$ commemorative celebrates Australian bi-centenary by showing stuff from coastal shipwrecks.

And here’s another from down under. This time the cover has Christmas Island/Australa greetings stamp and an Australian bird commemorative. Sadly the cover was slightly battered and arrived with no cancels on stamps.

2009 - Another cover from Australia. This time with Christmas Island stamp.
Especially the Christmas Island greeting stamp is IMHO very nice.

And no two without a third… The cover has 1986 “Australian folktales” strip-of-five designs, and a 60c AAT (Australian Antarctic Territory) stamp. And nice cancels as well.
