This is just a heads up that posting will be a bit slower than normal during the coming week or two. I caught a nasty flue during last weekend and it’s making it’s toll on me. So please be patient and enjoy the old posts while I’m trying to recover…. Moving on to other blog related news. As some may have noted I have done some slight changes with the blog appearance this/last month.
As some know I’ve been having more or less severe health issues for the last 7 months. Well, early this morning I’ve signed in to local central hospital for a planned (surgical) operation, studies and treatment that will hopefully alleviate my condition.
Not that I suffer from a writers’ block… But just curious and wondering (and trying to make the blog even better)…If you could choose one article topic I should write, what would it be?
For some time I’ve been receiving random postcards from postcrossers, but lately these seem to be with increased numbers. Though I like receiving my mailbox filled with worldwide items, I want and need (these words heavily emphasized) to say publicly that I’m not a postcrosser. I’ve never been involved with any “official” postcrossing projects nor wish to be.
It’s time for some non-philatelic babbling (meaning if you’re interest ONLY about the stamps, you may skip this specific post)…
Last month (May) was truly amazing period of growth for this blog. The number of blog visitors more than doubled up to whooping 1 500 monthly unique visitors. Similar spring boost occurred also with number of feed subscribers, comments as well as with my incoming mail (over 30 covers/cards received around the world).
I can’t stop wondering how global this blog has become in couple of months. Last month (april) there was 742 visits from 61 different countries. On a worldwide map it looks like this:
As regular readers might have noticed, there have been several changes during past few weeks on this site. For some time I have been thinking of providing a list of recommendable stamp collecting websites – blogs, forums, studies etc. But… I also know that nobody likes to read / browse long list of textual links. Luckily I have come up with a solution that is answer to my prayers. Let me introduce you StampCollector’s StumbleUpon
As some noticed, this site had downtime last night and this morning. This was due to the power supply breakdown on web server running this site. My best thanks to support folks at Vi Internet for identifying and fixing the problem quickly.
I think the title says it all. Doctor’s orders where dead simple: one week of full bed rest. And to be honest, I don’t think I could do much more.
