@Mary & Seth… Such is life I too was in hunt of proper postage stamps last week, but with pretty poor luck. I tried to acquire some miniature sheets and lick’n’stick stamps, but instead ended up with bunch of “overly cute” self-adhesive valentines day sheets

Just a quick note to say I sent you another batch for exchange and to apologise for the rather dull stamps on the cover. I’ve tried asking for “commemorative” stamps in the post office before, but since they look at you like they are wondering whether to call the security guard, I now just ask for “picture stamps please”. My man obviously took that to mean pictures of our beloved sovereign! I’ll have to think of another strategy next time…

Sent you a packet of stamps for exchange. Hope you find something you like/need. It’s unfortunate though that the postal clerk was too quick to stick the stamps onto the envelope I didn’t get a chance to pick some nice commemorative ones for you. Will just have to choose the stamps without showing the envelope next time.
