Questionable marketing from Philatino.com
Dear owners of Philatino.com, instead of sending this feedback directly to You I decided to make this a public matter as many collectors will likely face the same problem. My complaint is that I’m somewhat irritated by Your questionable marketing methods.
First, I have no connections to You nor Your business besides having a short Facebook friendship. And even it was very single sided. The only actions I did were approving your Facebook friendship request few months back, and ending it some time ago.
That said, I was more than suprised when I got spam (=unwanted) email message from You today at my Inbox:

As I have no customer relations to You, the only place where You might have received the email in question is by copying it from my Facebook profile. I’m not sure if You are familiar with rules/legislation (like double-opt-in) relating to email marketing, but Your action broke about every possible rule there is. Harvesting email addressess from websites (like FaceBook) and sending unsolicited bulk mail (=spam) are not good nor approvable marketing practises.
I’m sure you are good stamp dealers, but please learn to respect the privacy and wishes of Your potential customers. An apology would be highly appreciated, as well as removing my email from your mailing lists.
Nuff said.

I’m so sorry to see you are having trouble with stamp dealers from Argentina.
Luckily, they are not the same; most of them are pretty responsible.
