Philippines 2009 bird definitives
And here’s one more item from my incoming mailbox. A nice postcard from the Philippines with some of the 2009 bird definitives.

Postcard from Philippines
The two 7 peso stamps on top display olive-backed sunbird and metallic-winged sunbird:

And on the bottom is 1 peso stamp with mugimaki flycatcher… The large close up below shows the “small print” on the bottom of the stamp:

My compliments to fellow blogger Walter Peter.
Additional compliments to Linella G.Cuevas for sending me some recent Philippines stamps as well. They did a nice addition to my collection.

Keijo – quick question… have you located a web resource for identification of Philippines watermarks…. I have done a quick google search and located only a google book circa 1904… and I want to look at watermarks on the stamps of 1906 et seq. I have Scott worldwide catalog and Scott specialized.
Any ideas
thank you

Hi Dell,
The Philippine philatelist collections page does list a lot of specialized details, so I’d start looking up from there.
Keijo, wow!!!
OK now I know what I will be looking at tonight after work. Thanks
