Just to wish all the blog readers A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year! Hope You all like this “stampy greeting” displaying one of my all-time favorite Christmas postage stamps.

1975 US Christmas. The NVI Christmas stamp displays an early Christmas postcard design by Louis Prang.

1975 US Christmas. This NVI Christmas stamp displays an early Christmas postcard design by Louis Prang, the "founding father" of American Christmas cards.

The 1975 US Christmas set consisted of two stamps; the other design was a religious one displaying a painting of Virgin Mary with baby Jesus. Instead of regular stamp, I’ll show a color shift causing some heavy doubling:

Merry Christmas! Ho-ho-ho…
