Moving on with my incoming mail showcase… Here are covers and postcards I’ve received lately from US.

First two covers from professional stamp dealer. No cancels whatsoever on neither of them :(

Then two covers from stamp exchange I’ve been attending. The comic book fan/collector inside me loves the Mickey and Minnie stamp. Anyway, I’ve still got to find out the soakability status of these before placing them on the tub.

Next I have a postcard from Ed with my very first US P-stamp (Personalized stamp).

I don’t know much of P-stamps in general (as they are somewhat scarce compared to normal stamps), but the quality of the print (and paper) in US seems to be much lower compared to those used in Europe.

And finally two fabulous greetings from Carol. The first one features “Thanksgiving Parade Day” stamps issued in November 2009. I love the way Carol managed to place stamps on the card.

And second cover also qualifies as “mail art”. It has a bunch of Christmas as new year related stamps – including the “notorious” first US self-adhesive stamp from the 1974. The gum on the stamps is unsoakable and has caused stamps to turn yellowish. Carol writes that these days the original gum no longer works, thus she had to use glue to stick stamp on cover.
