Hungarian souvenir sheet for European Football Championships
Here’s something not so ordinary I found while soaking Hungarian kiloware during the Easter. It is a used 1972 souvenir sheet issued to commemorate Football European Championships in Belgium.
1972 Hungary - European Football Championships in Belgium. Michel #2751-2756, catalog value 4.50€.
Michel stamp catalog states that low value stamps (up to 2 forint) were issued both as normal sheet stamps (4×5 stamps) as well as in souvenir sheet (as above). The high values (4 and 5 forint) stamps were available only in souvenir sheet. And as usual with communist era Hungary (especially between 1960-1989), these stamps as well as the sheet exist also as very limited imperf print.
