Hong Kong 1997 Skyline stamp issue high values
Good quality stamps with beautifull (hand) cancel are extremely hard to get from normal (real) mail - especially when it comes to high values. As an example I have chosen the 1997 Hong Kong Skyline issue, that has a total of 22 stamps from 10c to 50HK$ nominal value.
Below is an image of this sets high values (Michel #802-804, cat. value 24€ used). Believe it or not, these are the best ones I have managed to come across (and I’ve seen quite a few copies of all these).

This happens to stamps with real (overseas) parcel / registered mail usage. Extremely heavy cancels, slight faults with perforation etc.
Are these beautifull to look? IMO definitely not, especially the 50HK$ mess makes want to cry. Are they collectible? Definitely yes, as they show an image of a time (and real postal usage). At least these are IMO still much better than CTO (or FDC) cancelled copies.
