It’s been a long time since I showed some of the EFO’s, but I think they will match perfectly with my current writings about stamp quality. Here’s something I picked up last night from kiloware I had soaked few days earlier.

The first below stamp is the normal copy, and beneath it is the “whacked” copy. The picture / scan I took doesn’t do the honors for this freak, as in nature the difference is much more striking. With doubled nose and claws (and blurry outlines) the stamp has a pretty bizarre echo.

Finland 2004 2nd class definitive stamp - Baby bear. Notice the nose, claws and other offset areas in lower stamp.

What many non-Finnish collectors may not know, is the fact that this stamp exists in two types: type I (original issue, 2004) and type II (reprint, 2009). The difference between these two can be found out by comparing the length of inscription “Ursus arctos”.  In type I it’s 6mm long, in type II it’s 8mm long.  Both above stamps are type I.
