I haven’t showed my incoming mail for a while besides some random items. Rest of this week I’ll be sharing these fabulous (mainly 2009) postage stamps with you.

First, a large sized cover from my stamp exchange friend Larry. It has The Simpons and US Gulf Coast lighthouses stamp sets with very nice postmarks.

My second US cover comes from Pete Boulay with a nice special postmark celebrating Minnesota State Fair. As amazing as it may sound, the Black Heritage series has been going on for 31 years. This year the stamp commemorates Anna Julianna Cooper, the first woman to publish a book on Black feminism and a forefighter of Afro-American people’s equal education rights. Another stamp serie with almost equal lifespan is Literary Arts; in 2009 the series commemorated author Richard Wright. And finally the cover has a a 1974 Fort Harrod commemorative.

And finally (but not least) a cover from WeiXie from Canada. It features one of the 10 stamps celebrating the upcoming 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. The stamp is showing one of the game mascottes, a sasquatch named Quatchi, playing goalie. The stamps CA$1.65 nominal value makes up for international rate stamp.  This is suprisingly small sized for any olympic (or commemorative) stamp – only 24×20mm.
