Shifted overprint on Congo (Kinshasa) stamp
Here’s another item from EFO (”Error-Freak-Oddity”) collection that I’ve been lately building alongside my worldwide stamps collection. It’s 1961 Congo (Kinshasa/Zaire) 20c (mint) stamp with heavily shifted overprint.

1961 Kongo (Kinshasa) - the stamp on the right has strongly shifted overprint.
I don’t think it’s hugely rare (or valuable) as somewhat similar shifted overprints on Congo stamps are more or less constantly available on eBay with selling prices around 5-20US$. But definitely a nice find from a box of “worldwide odds and ends” that I’ve been sorting… And if you are wondering about the 10c stamp next to – it’s just a comparison copy.

Hello,
Reading this post, I was drawn to look at an error that I recently found from a stamp from Vietnam.
It is a chess issued stamp wherein the name of Robert Fischer was typed as Rober Fischer. I found some on ebay and I think it was never corrected.
Have you heard of this before?
Yes, I remember reading about it in some stamp magazine… I think it’s equally “interesting” as placing Grand Canyon to wrong state (something I think US postal services managed to make)
