In order to clean up my stamp desk from excess clutter, I’ll be making some special exchange offers for the upcoming months. These will be mostly stuff that doesn’t fit into my regular stamp exchange (such as postal history, FDCs, Cinderella/Bogus items etc). But there will be few lots consisting of stamps as well.

Rules

The rules are simple:

1. I post on image of what I have, and what I wish to have in return.

2. First one to write a comment with word “mine” (or “I’ll take this”, or something similar) will receive the lot.

3. I’ll post the goods (using regular economy class mail with nice recent commemoratives unless otherwise agreed) once I’ve received your part of the trade.
(And the usual disclaimer: I take no responsibility if the exchange letters or their contents get lost or stolen in transit.)

4. I’ll post a new offer once the previous one is gone.

5. If my offer does not receive any takers within one (1) week, I’ll replace the offer with something else, or change the contents of my offer.

The current offer (#14)

The current offer is a a small mixture of vodka/spirit/booze/beer etc. labels in pouch. Most are from Finland, few Russia and other noted. I would say 15-20 different frontside labels, many have back-of-bottle labels too. Some duplication; mixed quality / condition.

A mixture of beer etc. labels

A mixture of beer etc. labels

In return I’d like to have 100 different large worldwide stamps of Your choice with following criteria:
a) mixture has to be worldwide (no more than 20 stamps from single country/entity)
b) stamps must be undamaged (no thins, no rust, no folds etc)
c) contents must be used stamps only (real used and/or CTO)

Any takers?

This offer is valid till May 23rd 2012.

Offer #1 gone to William… That was quick – about 30 minutes from the moment I posted the offer, and it’s gone…

William, I’ve sent you email (if it doesn’t show on your Inbox, please check your junkmail folder).

  3. Keijo wrote :

Offer #2 is now online. Plenty of Moomins in this… Not sure if this of interest to anyone else except topical collectors. But time will tell.

  4. Anthony C. wrote :

Keijo, I just can’t resist the empty booklet covers. Please e-mail and lay the details on me. Many thanks!

  5. Keijo wrote :

Offer #2 gone to Anthony… That was surprisingly quick too – only about 4 hours or so :)

My email is already winging it’s way to your inbox…

  6. Keijo wrote :

Offer #3 is now online including three “better” Finnish stamp issues on FDC.

It’s interesting to see if those go as quickly as the previous lots.

  7. chitturi vamsi wrote :

sir, please send your free stamps to my address.

    [ADDRESS REMOVED by Keijo]

  8. Keijo wrote :

@chitturi…. Please re-read the terms on top of this page. This is an exchange – no “free” stamps here.

  9. Y.M.Kakar. wrote :

    Dear Keijo,
I am really interested in your Offer No.3.
I am ready to send you even 150 world commemoratives in fine A-One condition for these FDCs. Kindly convey me your mailing address. Regards.
    Y.M.Kakar.

  10. Keijo wrote :

    Offer #3 gone to Y.M.Kakar

  11. Keijo wrote :

And offer #4 is now online… I know there are couple of ship/maritime collectors reading this blog, so hopefully these will be of interest.

  12. Anthony C. wrote :

I hate to monopolize the offers, but would like to take this one too, if it’s OK. I’m interested in the maritime theme, also Malvinas/Falklands. Thanks.

  13. J.D. Finch wrote :

Hello — I’d like offer number four — maritime items.

  14. Keijo wrote :

Offer #4 gone to Anthony! I’ll combine these to your another sending; good thing I didn’t pack them yet.

@JD… You missed it by 15 minutes. Better luck next time.

As it’s getting pretty late here, no further offers for the time being. But tomorrow there will be something new again…

  15. J.D. Finch wrote :

Oh well, thanks anyway. C’est la vie!

  16. Keijo wrote :

Offer #5 is now online… A good sized lot of bogus stamp sheets from 1970s/early 1980s with attractive topics. Some consider Bernera, Staffa, Eynhollow etc. as British local issues. The State of Oman is supposed to be rebel government of Oman…. Anyway these never saw real postal use/needs, or had official approval of UPU or governing officials. So a more proper term for these would be “stamp like labels”.

  17. Holger wrote :

That could be something for me :-)

  18. Titus wrote :

I’ll take these. #5 that is.

  19. Cathleen wrote :

    Hi Keijo

Bogus or not I”ll take them if you don’t have any other offers already!!
    Thanks!

  20. Keijo wrote :

Offer #5 now gone to Holger, Titus & Cathleen…

@Holger and Titus… Both of you will receive #5 as I found enough duplicates to make two identical sets. And I found one more additional sheet for both of You :) I will email both of you soon.

@Cathleen… I can come up with a set consisting all except the Dhufar ship sheet. I’ll email You, so we can work out the details.

I’ll post a new offer (somewhat similar to this) later today

  21. Keijo wrote :

And offer #6 is now online… This lot contains 19 different bogus stamps sheets. Te contents is almost identical (=same sheets) with previous offer.

I have two identical sets available.

  22. Keijo wrote :

@William… Your cover arrived in todays mail. Found lots of good stuff in it. Response is already on the mail (note: the carrot stamp on top of the cover is pretty hard/impossible to soak).

  23. William wrote :

    @Keijo…
Great to hear that the British / Finnish Post Offices are working well, and that the stamps are good and arrived in one piece.
Thanks too for the information about the carrot stamp.

  24. Keijo wrote :

@Holger… Your part of the trade arrived today in good condition. On quick browse I spotted several new items. Thanks :)

Your part of the trade will go out in half hours time; the vegetable stamps on top of the cover are hard/impossible soak, so I’d leave them on-paper.

  25. Holger wrote :

@Keijo…thanks in advance! I’m curious about my first “stamps” from Staffa, Eynhallow, Dhufar etc. :-)

  26. Keijo wrote :

@anthony….Your parted of the trade landed my mailbox today. Again some very nice stuff – thanks :) I would assume/hope you will receive my sending in few days time too.

@Yar… I received your sending too today. Nice stamps, thanks :) I will mail the FDCs today.

  27. Joan van Rensburg wrote :

    Good morning from South Africa,
I see that you need a lot from this side of the world. I can help you with used and mint stamps (I have a lot of duplicates). I collect Halley Comet Issue of 1986, J J Audubon of 1985 (birds), the 1937 coronation (I just need about 5 or 6 countries and FDC’s), and Europe countries.

Please let me know if you could help me with the above and in the meantime I will get some stamps ready for you – just let me know what you need.

    Kind regards
    Joan

Thanks for the offer, but I’m not interested…. If you have spent any time reading the terms of my exchange pages (either this one, or my regular exchange), you’ll notice that there’s one very specific policy: NO WANTLISTS! I don’t want to receive anyone’s wantlist, and I will not provide anything as such to anyone. They are simply TOO MUCH WORK when you collect the entire world and have several kilograms of worldwide duplicates in unsorted boxes. I hope you’ll understand my point.

  29. Cathleen wrote :

    Hi Keijo

Just checking in to see if you received my half of the trade yet. I got yours a while back.

    Thanks!

    Cathleen

  30. Keijo wrote :

@Cathleen… Yes. It arrived several weeks ago in excellent condition. Very useful stuff :)

  31. Titus wrote :

    Hi Keijo,
Good to have you back! Just like Cathleen, I was wondering if you received my half of the trade. There were mostly Poland CTO, used USA, and some Franco’s definitive, which I know you really enjoyed:).
    All the best,
    Titus

  32. Keijo wrote :

@Titus…The cover arrived few weeks back, and especially the Polish part of the mixture was highly useful:)

  33. Keijo wrote :

And this exchange is now (Apr 23rd) back on track.

For starters I have got a pretty unordinary item:partially used booklet from South Africa. Any takers?

  34. Keijo wrote :

Ok. No takers for offer #6… I’ll put in back in the box to grow interest

A new offer (#7) is now online. Six worldwide FDC’s for 150 stamps of your choise. Anyone interested? If no takers, these go straight to “clip & soak” department

  35. Titus wrote :

    Keijo,

I am interested in offer #7 but it will be around two weeks before I will return from a trip and be able to mail you my part of the trade, if that is OK with you.

    Titus

    Offer #7 gone to Titus.

Will post new offer sometime tomorrow.

Offer #8 (fifty empty booklet covers) is now online. Any takers?

  38. Anthony C. wrote :

Hi Keijo. I would like to take your 50 empty booklet covers. I might as well expand the collection you helped me start. I really like booklet covers. In my opinion, the booklet covers for some of our USA definitives in recent years actually look better than the stamps themselves! Thanks!

  39. Keijo wrote :

Offer #8 gone to Anthony :-)

    Will email details tomorrow…

  40. Fred Muguruza wrote :

Hey Keijo…save last offer for me… LOL!

  41. William wrote :

    Hi Keijo
Do you still have the South Africa booklet and if so do you still want to trade for it? I would like it but let me know if you still want 200 stamps for it. Hope you are feeling better!
    Take care,
    William in USA

  42. Keijo wrote :

    @Fred… Sure thing.

    And good morning to all.

A new offer is now online. This time it’s not about stamps at all. Offer #13 is a attractive set of vintage photos from Salisbury, UK. Various cathedrals, city views, Stonehenge etc. Based on the looks I’d say the package dates to 1950s (if not earlier).

Would make pretty attractive display if framed on the wall.

    Anyone interested?

  61. Keijo wrote :

Received my part of the trades #8 and #9. Excellent stuff from both (Anthony & Steve) – thanks :)
