1997 American Holly greeting stamp color error
Color errors are one of those things where one can never be sure if it’s real thing or a changeling. Below is 1997 US Christmas greeting stamp (Michel #2902BD,Scott#3177) with red color missing. The result is strikingly looking like “raw berries”.

The stamp was issued on October 30, 1997. It was printed by the Banknote Corporation of America, Inc., in the offset process. The design shows American Holly (also known as Christmas Holly or Evergreen Holly), which is the official State Tree of Delaware.
